The Freestyle Sofa, with its biomorphic and organic silhouette, represents a natural extension of the designer’s sculptural approach. Blurring the line between functional design and artistic expression, it challenges traditional definitions of furniture. At the time, the idea of furniture as art was still emerging—a concept nurtured in part by initiatives from institutions like the Museum of Modern Art in New York during the 1940s, which aimed to bring exceptional design to a broader audience.
ICONIC FEATURES:
High-quality rot and termite-resistant Merbau wood is used to make a frame.
Medium firmness in the cushion makes you feel good.
No chemical treatment is involved in the process of making a frame.
Every hide is highly unique and varies in-depth in color.
Premium fabric and classic suede are used to make cushions to provide a comfy feel.
Walnut satin finishes solid wood legs to provide a perfect balance for the sofa.
Flame resistant and non-toxic materials were used. (Baby friendly).
