Initially designed & propelled in 1969 by the Italian designer-couple Tobia and Afra Scarpa for the January 1970 yearly Cologne Furniture Exchange appear. Idea behind Soriana was to devise a design where an entire bundle of texture was encapsulated by a metal fiber. Even after 50 years, it is still one of the preferred sofas for the greatest architects and modelers for their own houses or client projects.The collection was constructed of numerous single components: a lounge chair, medium and larger version sofa, chaise lounge with ottoman at that time.The Soriana collection was implied to precise magnificence and consolation by employing whole bundle of fabric held by a chrome-plated steel clamp. Kardiel's reproduction is improved by employing a dark powder coated metal (rather than chrome) for today's advanced interior. The marvelous Soriana Chair was the primary piece outlined within the collection & won the Compasso D'oro in 1969 for its plan. It goes well with eclectic Hollywood Regency interiors, as well as monochromatic minimalist décor.
